Dr Layani and Dr Silverman are leaders in the area of laparoscopic hernia repair and perform many hundreds of procedures every year for patients on the Gold Coast, Northern NSW and Brisbane. We consult from our clinic at Fred McKay House, John Flynn Private Hospital Tugun and operate at John Flynn Private Hospital and the Tweed Public Hospital at Tweed Heads. 

Our team of specialists and support staff are with you every step of the way from assisting you with your initial appointment through to your hernia surgery and your follow up care and hernia recovery.

Dr Layani specialises in laparoscopic surgical procedures including hernia repair, gall bladder removal and surgical cancer treatments as well as other gastrointestinal problems and bariatric weight loss surgery. His experience in laparoscopic surgery spans more than 15 years.

Dr Layani has carried out many thousands of laparoscopic procedures in his career and is well respected both in Australia and overseas for his experience and knowledge. He contributes to ongoing education and research in the surgical community by regularly presenting at conferences and contributing to research papers and journals as well as providing specialised surgical training in under developed countries.
